Class Description:
Come to the Art Center to learn and refine artistic skills of your choice with the encouragement and practical experience of artist/instructor Paul Hoelscher. The goal of this class is to offer an ongoing studio opportunity for people interested in any art medium or technique. Come and be around other creative people taking time to be artistic. There are often three or four different media being applied within the same small group, and this creates a supportive and inspiring experience. Paul�s versatility will be encouraging in whatever medium interests you. Give yourself some really positive art time and join us!

Course description: Enjoy a colorful BYOB (beer, wine, or something non-alcoholic if you prefer) abstract painting experience! Bring a friend and chat and sip your way through a step by step abstract painting from start to finish. Knowing where to start can be hard. Relax knowing that with little or no experience you can paint an interesting piece of art to brighten up your home décor.

Course Description: Discover the fun of creating Celtic Knotwork designs on your own using grids and dots as your guide. This class will focus on Circle Designs. The process taught in this class is fairly simple with great results. Use it to make personalized cards, posters, etc. OR as a new meditative practice

Course Description:
This is an introductory class of the Indonesian and Indian art of batik, which combines a wax resist process, dye, and fabric. This class will involve hot wax and will run for 3-4 hours. Participants should bring a simple design idea with white, black, and one color, plus a sack dinner and drink. Dye, wax, fabric and tools all provided.

Class Dates: December 12th and 19th, January 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd,30th, February 20th, 27th. 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm These classes will be held in the Downstairs Studio at Crossroads. Country Western is a versatile style of social dance, perfect for weddings, rodeos, fairs, and all other social events. Not only does it provide an excellent, enjoyable form of exercise, it is also a great way to meet new friends and socialize! In this class, we will explore country Swing, Two Step, Cha Cha, Horseshoe and Scottische, as well as a dozen or so line dances. Everyone 13 and up is welcome! No experience or partner necessary. All participants should come dressed in comfortable workout clothes, and ready to have fun! Closed toed shoes are REQUIRED.

Course Cost: $80/members $120/non-members Course Description: Bal-A-Vis-X is a series of 300 Balance/ Auditory/Vision/eXercises, all of which are deeply rooted in rhythm, using sand bags and racquet balls. Exercises address visual tracking deficiencies, auditory imprecision, impulsivity, balance and anxiety issues. Bal-A-Vis-X enables the mimd-body system to experience the symmetrical flow of a pendulum while engendering focus. After completing this course, participants will have an understanding of how learning dominance and integration of mind/body systems can impact learning and every-day functioning. This class requires active participation; attendees should dress comfortably.

With your paid membership, potters can purchase a pottery pass and use the Crossroads Pottery Studio anytime we are open Monday thru Saturday 10 am to 5 pm AND Tuesday Open Pottery Studio! Open Pottery Studio is a free evening time for potters to come and work together. Starts at 5:30 PM and goes through 8:30 PM. A member of the Crossroads Pottery Committee is onsite to answer questions if needed! Pottery Passes can be purchased at the front counter during business hours for $5.00 for a day, $20.00 for a month or $30.00 for a quarter.

Course description: A five-week wheel throwing series focusing on making mugs with handles! Some experience required.
You can never have too many coffee mugs or tea cups! This class is perfect for those with some wheel throwing experience. If you’ve taken one of my other wheel classes, or have a bit of experience from elsewhere, come join us for this wheel class focusing on making mugs with handles! Students must know how to wedge and center clay on the wheel.
